Ingredients
2
oz
tequila blanco
1
tablespoon
lime juice
½ lime
4
oz
ginger beer
Instructions
Fill a copper mug or highball glass with ice
Pour in the tequila and lime juice
Top up the mug or glass with ginger beer
Garnish with jalapeno slices, if desired and lime wedges
Notes
Don't skimp on ice. A Mexican mule needs to be icy cold, so fill your glass or mug right up with ice.
Your ginger beer should be well chilled.
Because of the strong distinctive taste of tequila, I find that a spicy brand of ginger beer works best for this drink.
However, do try a couple of ginger beer brands to find the one that you like best.
Use a
jigger
or small measuring cup to measure your tequila into each glass.
